Fortis Core is the newest addition to the Fortis aluminium door family – and it’s been purpose-built to meet the needs of modern renovation and retrofit projects. Offering a sleek, contemporary design and robust thermal performance at a more accessible price point, Core opens the door to high-quality aluminium without the high-end cost.
With maximum dimensions of 1150mm x 2250mm, Core is ideal for replacing standard-size front doors in existing homes, where oversized, premium systems may not be necessary – or practical. It’s the perfect stepping stone for homeowners moving up from composite doors, delivering all the benefits of aluminium – durability, security, and low maintenance – in a format designed for real-world use.
Efficient by design
Despite its lower price point, Fortis Core retains many of the same design principles as our flagship ranges. The door is flush bonded for a premium, clean finish, and built with thermally broken aluminium profiles, helping to reduce heat loss and improve comfort. With U-values from 0.89 W/m²K, it offers solid energy efficiency that meets the needs of most homes.
Double glazed sidelights and triple glazed door panels ensure the right balance of light and insulation, while 2mm aluminium plates provide strength without unnecessary weight. Instead of a single-piece frame, Core features coupled sidelights and fanlights – assembled on-site to improve transport efficiency and flexibility for installers.
